From the very first contact and phone call with Sarah, I immediately felt at ease. She came to my mum’s address and spent time talking to me about John, our life together and the person he was. It never felt pressured or formal it genuinely felt like we were simply having a chat, which made such a difficult time a little easier.
Sarah continued to keep in touch in the lead-up to John’s service, always making sure I was comfortable and happy with everything. On the day, the service was absolutely perfect. She personalised every part of it to reflect mine and John’s love story, and so many people commented afterwards on how beautiful and meaningful her words were.
After the service, I contacted Sarah again as we had planned John’s interment of ashes. Once again, she was incredibly kind and supportive. I asked if she would write something for us to be read at the interment, and she kindly agreed. This was above and beyond what was required of her, and it meant so much to me. I also received a copy of John’s written service in a beautiful folder, along with a personalised note from Sarah.
These thoughtful touches meant more than she could possibly know. Sarah is truly amazing and has such a wonderful gift for putting feelings and memories into words. I am so grateful that our funeral directors put us in touch with her.
Thank you, Sarah, for all your support, kindness and beautiful words during the most heartbreaking time of my life. You helped make an incredibly difficult experience a little more bearable, and I will always be grateful.
